VilaFoia’s rooms sit in a calm mountain setting with views over the 25-kilometre valley towards Portimão, Lagos, Lagoa and the Atlantic Ocean. Restaurants and walking routes are close by, while the south and west coasts remain within easy reach.

VilaFoia was established in 2009. Since 2022, Michel and Henk and their team have continued building a welcoming, inclusive and relaxed place with personal hospitality at its heart.

Relax beside the outdoor pool, reserve time in the panoramic jacuzzi, find a quiet place in the garden or use the fibre-optic Wi-Fi by the terrace or fireplace. The wooden deck, geodesic dome and meeting spaces support yoga, workshops, retreats and small events.

VilaFoia aims to care for people and place through solar energy, reduced water use and waste, fair employment, accessible accommodation and an LGBTQ-friendly environment. The economy double room includes an adapted bathroom for guests with reduced mobility.

VilaFoia is at Corte Pereiro, Apartado 241 Monchique, 8550-257, Algarve, Portugal. Faro Airport is around a 60-minute drive; Lisbon and Seville are approximately two and a half hours by car. By public transport, travel via Portimão and continue by regional bus to Monchique. The team can also help arrange a transfer.

What is included? Breakfast, Wi-Fi, pool access, parking and daily jacuzzi reservation are included in the standard stay unless your selected rate states otherwise.

Can I organise a retreat? Yes. VilaFoia hosts yoga, meditation, wellness, hiking, cycling, creative and corporate retreats for up to 28 overnight guests. Exclusive use is possible.

Can VilaFoia help organisers? Yes. The team can help with room allocation, dietary requirements, transfers, meals, local activities and programme logistics.
