The guesthouse VILAFOIA is in the middle of old cork tree plantations, just half an hour’s drive from the Atlantic Ocean.

The perfect place to take a break, enjoy an active, healthy holiday or even to book the whole house for a seminar in its fabulous ambiance.

The VILAFOIA was built with mostly regionally-sourced and environmentally-friendly building materials, was finished in the summer of 2009, with a beautiful garden and pool. Each room has its own balcony with a breath-taking view towards the Atlantic, as well as wireless internet connection. A generous breakfast buffet full of regional products awaits you every morning. A small selection of drinks and snacks are on offer by the open fireplace in the evenings. Or visit one of the many small restaurants nearby.

VILAFOIA is situated on the edge of the nature protection area the Serra de Monchique where the subtropical microclimate of the mountains shows nature’s most beautiful side. Plants and flowers which can be found nowhere else flourish here. Our very own pathway leads through oak and eucalyptus forests to the summit of the Foia at 902 metres above sea level.
